About the Smiths – Missionaries to Piedras Negras, Mexico


Brian accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior on June 6, 1996.  He has served for the last 21 years in a variety of ministries.  Melanie accepted Jesus in 1997 while she was a Business Director at YMCA Camp Grady Spruce. She had been introduced to Jesus in High School but didn’t feel like she was worthy of His love. For almost two decades they have served in many ministries including: Pastors of Singles Ministry, Pastors of Couples Ministry, Youth Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Discipleship Ministry, Short term Missions, Marriage Enrichment groups, Home Fellowship groups, Bus Ministry, Nursing Home Ministry, Men’s & Women’s Ministry, Deliverance & Healing Ministry and Life Training Ministries. They both have written and facilitated Couple’s Retreats and Youth retreats and have ministered to thousands of people.


Faith accepted Jesus Christ on June 8, 2010 at the age of 8.  She has such a love for Jesus and loves helping others.  She has been going to Piedras Negras, Mexico since she was 6 months old.  She has served in Vacation Bible School, and Worship Ministry for the children.  She has led a children’s program called Sword of the Spirit Club with the local churches and loves to volunteer at a few local ministries.

accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 6. He has been traveling and doing missions in Piedras Negras, Mexico since he was in the womb. He has dreams of being a missionary to China.  He loves telling young and old about why he believes in Jesus!!

Desireae and Candace (their two oldest daughters) have been a part of missions trips since 2002. They love the people in Piedras Negras, Mexico and feel it is a second home. They come and visit as their schedules allow.  Desireae is getting her Masters Degree in Education from Texas State University and Candace is married to Garret and expecting the first Smith grandchild in January.
